Ready to take your knitting to the next step. Join us for a fun knitting class to make the Roseate scarf by Mel Kennelly! This slim, knitted scarf needs just one skein of worsted-weight yarn. Whether you choose wool, cotton or mix this lightweight yet cozy scarf is the perfect accessory for layering through the seasons—both stylish and comfortable for any occasion.
In this class, you’ll learn how to increase, decrease, follow a pattern - written and in chart form, finishing. We give you a week in between to work on your pattern.
Skill Level: Advanced beginner, must be able to cast on, knit & purl
Class price: $50 + materials

Pattern: Roseate (provided)
Needles: Size US 7 - 24” Needs
Yarn: Worsted Weight - 218 yard (1 skein) Some Options: Malabrigo Rios or Washted, Plymouth Select Superwash Merino, Plymouth Sea Isle, Pima 100 Cotton
NOTE: We ask that all yarn be purchased in the shop. A discount of 10% will be given.

Your instructor, Barbara Gilchrist, has been part of our community for over five years and brings extensive teaching experience. Having grown up in her grandmother’s yarn shop, Barbara has been knitting since she was a little girl and has a true passion for the craft.
