Beginner Knit 2: Fundamentals - Saturday, April 5 & 12, 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
Ready to move beyond knitting squares and rectangles? This class is perfect for beginners who already know how to knit and purl. In this class we’ll create a beautiful, cozy shawl in a supportive and fun environment!
Project: Grain Shawl by Tin Can Knits
Skill Level: Advanced beginner - Must be able to cast-on, knit, purl, bind-off
Class 1: Cast on, set up and increases, and construction
By the end of class you will have learned: basic pattern reading, how to cast on a garter tab, pick up stitches and increase stitches.
Class 2: Finishing your shawl and binding off
We'll take a look at our work and stitch count/measurements, and bind off.
Class price: $60, includes pattern
Class Schedule: 2-part class. Each session is 60 minutes. You must be able to attend both classes.

Class Materials:
Needles: US 9, 32” circular needles
Yarn: 600 yards Worsted/aran weight
Notions: stitch markers, darning needle
We ask that all yarn for classes be purchased in the shop. 10% discount will be applied. Materials can be purchased at the shop prior to class.

Christine has been knitting for almost 20 years and crocheting for close to 30. While she makes all things ranging from socks to shawls to stuffed toys, her favorite thing to knit is a sweater. On the rare occasion she is not knitting, you can find Christine gardening, baking sourdough, running, or at Disney.
