The Magic Loop technique allows you to knit small circumference projects (mittens, socks, tops of hats, sleeves) in the round using a single long cabled needle (32" or longer). No need for double point needles or two sets of cabled needles!
This class will focus on learning Magic Loop by making a swatch tube. We are not making anything specific in this class; we are just learning the technique.

Cut your knitting!? If you’ve ever wanted to try steeking, this is your chance.
Steeking is a technique used to safely cut your knitting to create openings—often used for cardigans or sleeves in colorwork garments that are knit in the round. In this class, you’ll practice the technique on a coffee cozy (think of it as a mini sweater vest for your cup!) while learning how to reinforce the steek and confidently cut your knitting.
Important: You’ll knit the cozy as homework before class so that our time together can focus on reinforcing the steek, making the cut, and picking up stitches to knit a button band. It’s the perfect small project for building the skills and confidence to steek larger garments. 🧶✂️
Braided Headband: Cable without a Cable Needle - Saturday, 4/4 & Sunday, 4/12, 10 am - 12 noon
