Spin-Stitch Scarf OR Poncho

  • The Creative Knot 48 Main Ave Ocean Grove, NJ 07756 United States (map)

Spin-Stitch Scarf or Poncho, 2 sessions, Tuesdays, July 30 & August 13 at 10 am

Unlock the beauty of traditional Estonian stitches to create a stunning faux-cabled lace look without the need for cable needles. This technique mimics cables by “twisting” a cluster of stitches 180 degrees on a double-pointed needle. Whether you choose to make a scarf or poncho, this class will teach you an easy-to-master stitch that's incredibly satisfying to knit. Must be an advanced beginner.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Mastering a pattern

  • The “Estonian” stitch

Skill Level: Advanced beginner. Must know how to cast on, bind off, knit stitch, purl stitch, and be comfortable using double-pointed needles (DPNs).

Class Preparation: Cast on and knit in stockinette for 7 rows, beginning and ending with a knit row (ready to purl).

Class price: $50

Class Schedule: Two class session, July 30 & August 13. We will be taking the week in between off to work on our projects.
