Skill Building: Cable without a Cable Needle, Saturday, March 1, 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Class length: 60 minutes
Boost your knowledge and skill set with this class focused on cables. We will cover cabling without a cable needle! Techniques covered in this class include:
Working a front (left leaning) cable without a cable needle
Working a back (right leaning) cable without a cable needle
Working a twist (with purls) without a cable needle
Additional tips for cabling without a cable needle
This class is a great pre-requisite for the Cables and Lace class!
Skill Level: Intermediate - Must be able to cast-on, cast-off, knit, purl, increase, decrease,
Materials:
Worsted weight yarn in a medium to light color.
Size US 7 or 8 needles.
Homework: Make the following swatch:
CO 34 stitches. Knit 4 rows in garter (knit all rows).
Row 1: Knit across until the end
Row 2: K2, purl until 2 sts remain, K2.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until swatch measures 2-3 inches from the cast on edge. Leave on needles and bring to class.
