Beginner’s Crochet - Wednesdays, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6 from 4 pm - 5:30 pm

In this beginner-friendly class, students will learn to crochet a stylish and functional cell phone bag—perfect for keeping your essentials close! With simple, easy-to-follow instructions, you'll learn the basics of crochet and complete this project in just a few sessions. Whether you're brand new to crochet or looking to build confidence with a fun, practical project, this class is a great way to expand your skills and create something beautiful by hand.

In this class, you will learn:

• How to crochet a simple chain

• Single crochet & make a joining stitch

• Crochet in the round, using stitch markers, and effectively keep rounds straight

• 3.25 x 6.5 Bag construction

• Adding an embellishment/ closure

• Creating a shoulder strap or cord

• Finishing

Skill level: Beginner - Class will move at the pace of the students ensure optimal learning.

Vickie learned to knit and crochet as a teenager, became adept at crochet creating many wearables for her children, and has been honing her skills for over 50 years. With more than 4 years of experience teaching crochet privately and in a major craft store, she offers both private and group classes. Vickie’s favorite projects are blankets, wearables, & items for the home; in her spare time, she enjoys practicing Reiki & meditating, gardening, creative cooking at home, and spending time with her Siberian Husky.
